About Me
My name is Ana Isabel Sousa. My work is generally about stillness and my need to create peace and beauty within a space.
I studied Textile Art at Capilano University and have worked with many local weavers, learning all I could. I am so thankful for that time. I also continually take art courses in various topics.
I am inspired by many things but materials seems to be the start of almost everything for me. This leads me to other areas of inspiration like nature. I use high end natural materials like silk and linen which creates a refinement in each unique work.
